News : Purple jellyfish stranded on Australian beach

The coast guard said Jamie Smith , a local fisherman told the presence of jellyfish that washed up onto the beach .

" What surprised me because jellyfish tail is very long and the color , " says Smith .

Gershwin explained , purple jellyfish is in the group of the genus Thysanostoma , which is not commonly found in Australian waters .

This type of jellyfish , obviously Gershwin , may be identified by the size of the long tail , which is also the animal 's mouth .
