News : Involved in Terrorism Attacks Xinjiang, 39 people jailed Up to 15 Years

Beijing - A total of 39 people in China sentenced to 15 years on terrorism charges . They were found guilty of being involved in a number of attacks and violence in Xinjiang .

The defendant is sentenced together in a rare mass trial . The charges that led them varied , ranging from inciting violence and spreading records that contain extremist content to assemble firearms illegally and spreading ethnic hatred .

" Everyone who dared to challenge the power of the state or the lives of the people , will be severely punished according to law , without relief , " said a judge in the trial in the high court cited Xinjiang Legal Daily newspaper and reported by Reuters on Wednesday ( 21/05/2014 ) .



Suicide bombings and stabbings in Xinjiang station that occurred last May, killing three people and injuring 79 others. Meanwhile, in March , there were 29 people killed and 143 others injured in stabbing action at Kunming station .

Chinese authorities called the violence was orchestrated by Islamic separatists from Xinjiang . Public security agencies and courts in Xinjiang vows to take firm action against any spread of extremist ideology or incitement of violence via video or audio recording .

A total of 232 people were secured in Xinjiang authorities of its operations , and about 71 of whom were detained for trial .

The violence has overshadowed the Xinjiang region over the past few years . Human rights activists and members of the exiled group called the repressive policy of the Chinese authorities in the region have indirectly triggered riots seeds .
