This activity is a result of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( Foreign Ministry ) with Provisonal Technical Secretariat ( PTS ) of the Comprehensive Test - Ban Treaty Organization ( CTBTO ) to encourage universalization efforts and enforcement of the CTBT Treaty .
The meeting was attended by 50 participants consisting of high-ranking officials in the field of nuclear disarmament from 21 countries in Southeast Asia and the Eastern Pacific . Other international organizations will join the conference as the United Nations Office for Disarmaent Affairs ( UNODA ) , United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament ( UNRCPD ) , as well as representatives of the European Union was quoted as saying in a written statement received Okezone , Monday ( 19/5 / 2014 ) .
The event will take place over two days beginning on the day . In addition , this event will be scheduled to discuss several topics related to the nuclear issue and regional security stability which has peaceful purposes and to improve the capacity of each individual country .
