LAGOS - Events explosion that occurred in Nigeria was derived from a car bomb. In fact, the enormity of the explosion not only led to the collapse of hundreds of casualties, however, a number of buildings around the scene were also destroyed.

The Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Mohammed Abdulsalam, the blast was very large magnitude. Thus, estimates of casualties reached 118 people are likely to grow.



"The bodies of other blast victims may now no longer intact because the victims were in buildings that were falling apart because of this explosion," said Abdulsalam, as quoted by the ABS, Wednesday (21/05/2014).

In addition to fatalities, Abdulsalam also ensure, injuries from the blast was 56 people. Previously, there was confusion about how many injuries.

Plateau State where the explosion occurred is a multi-ethnic area. Inter-religious and sectarian conflicts sometimes occur in this region.
